Work, live and play
Janicki has locations in Northwest Washington and Utah. Our employees have easy access to outdoor recreation and breathtaking surroundings, all within a reasonable distance from major cities like Seattle and Salt Lake City. We provide our employees with the appropriate work-life balance to excel at their jobs and enjoy the beautiful areas we call home. Our locations are also close to military bases, providing local jobs for their families and veterans.
Washington
Janicki is based in Skagit County, Washington, about an hour north of Seattle. The area is well-known for its picturesque scenery and endless outdoor recreation options. To the west, the Salish Sea offers opportunities to fish, kayak, whale watch and island-hop via boat or ferry. In the valley, a booming agricultural economy provides fresh, locally-grown food and agrotourism activities like the annual Tulip Festival. To the east, the North Cascade mountains create a wide range of activities. Our employees often spend their free time exploring this vast wilderness, with boundless hiking, biking, trail running and horseback riding trails right outside the office door. In the winter, nearby Mount Baker offers world-class skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing and snowmobiling. These are just a few examples of the many recreation opportunities in our area. Utah
Janicki has a secondary location in Layton, Utah, just north of Salt Lake City and adjacent to Hill Air Force Base. Layton is a family-friendly community with quick access to shopping, dining and other activities. There are many outdoor sports and recreation options right outside the city. We have the Wasatch Mountains to the east where you’ll find trails for hiking, biking, horseback riding, and more. To the west is the Great Salt Lake, with Antelope Island State Park being a popular hiking, biking and trail running spot. Utah is home to some of the greatest snow on earth, with numerous ski resorts close by, including Snowbasin Ski Resort, which is less than a 30-minute drive. For weekend adventures, three of Utah’s National Parks are within a 4-hour drive, including Moab, Utah – home to both Canyonlands National Park and Arches National Park. Photo Credit: Tom Mabey
